Reset Service Password solves the problem of managing Service Logon Accounts.
Every Windows network relies on Services to run on every machine in the network. Managing the Logon Account for those Services can become overwhelming resulting in:
Manual connection to each computer to manually change each Service Account Logon or Logon and Password. Service Account Passwords that never get changed Failed Services when the Logon Account password was changed or the Account deleted. Security problems when ex-administrations know UserIDs and Passwords for Domain Level Service Accounts. Many of these Services run under accounts that have Local or Domain Level Administrative rights. It is Imperitive that these accounts securely managed on a regular basis.
Reset Service Password allows Administrators to remotely manage these accounts from a central location. With Reset Service Pasword, specific computers can be selected to be searched for Services meeting a specified criteria. Those that match the criteria (Service Name, Service Programmatic Name, Logon Account) can then be managed in one batch
